In agreement with the National Dispatch Center of Georgia, the 500 sq.m. “Kartli-2” was repaired from April 10 to April 30, 2024.
During the period of the repair of the power plant, the repair works provided for in the 2024 business plan of JSC “Sakrusenergo” were fully completed, namely: dirty and defective insulators were replaced, vibration dampers and discharge horns were installed, protective screens were repaired and damaged wires were repaired and replaced with heavy equipment. Access and nearby temporary driveways. Restoration works of disturbed gauges between the wires and the ground in Mali were also performed. Elevation inspection of individual sections of the railway and other newly discovered, urgent works were carried out.
Along with the personnel of Zestafoni and Khashuri SSUs, the personnel of Tbilisi and Tsalenjikhi SSUs, as well as the personnel of the transport service, were mobilized for the repair work of 500 sq.
During the period of repair of the “Kartli 2” hydroelectric power plant, the progress of the work was coordinated and monitored by Andro Tskhadadze, the manager of the operation and construction of the electric power plants of Western Georgia, and Vakhtang Kikvadze, the manager of the operation and construction of the electric power plants of Eastern Georgia. Felix Janashia, the head of the labor safety and information technology service, and Dimitri Andghuladze, the main specialist of the same service, were monitoring the safe production of work by the staff.
About 50 employees and 25 units of cars and special equipment of JSC GE “Sakrusenergo” were mobilized for the repair works of the 500 kV power plant “Kartli-2”.
As a result of the repair works performed on the 500 kV substation “Kartli-2”, the reliability of the transmission line has increased, which is very important for the reliable functioning of the energy system and for the uninterrupted supply of electricity to the population of our country for the successful passage of the upcoming spring and summer flood season.
