At the end of January of this year, cable damage was observed in the N184-N185 section of the Kavkasion transmission line passing through the Kodori Gorge. In particular, one wire of the middle phase was broken in the mentioned mall, which was lowered and buried in the snow.
Due to heavy snowfall and bad weather, it was possible to go to repair the said damage on February 22, 2024. Yuri Nadiradze, head of the design and construction department of JSC “Sakrusenergo” and Tengiz Mikawa, foreman of Tsalenjikhi SSU, were sent to the site, and they will be joined by “Sakrusenergo” and “Chernomorenergo” specialists living in the Gali and Kodori valleys.
The works were carried out in extreme conditions, in the environment of high snow and frost. Despite the unfavorable conditions for the production of works of this nature, the works were completed in a short time and with high quality.
