According to the pre-agreed plan-schedule with the National Dispatch Center of Georgia, the 500 sq.m. power plant “Imereti” was under repair from October 12 to October 20 of this year.During the mentioned period, the planned works were carried out on the said “Imeret”, which included the works of broken insulators, worn-out line armatures, broken transformers, repair of wires in loops and replacement of damaged wires in loops.
In the current year, the repair work on the 500 kV power plant “Imeret” by putting it into repair was also performed in the month of April, at which time, along with other repair work, the anti-corrosion protection of the metal towers was also performed.
Andro Tskhadadze, the manager of the operation and construction of the Western Georgian railways, monitored and coordinated the repair works during the period of the railway station being under repair.Felix Janashia, the head of the labor safety service, supervised the safe performance of the staff’s work.
Along with the personnel of Zestafoni, Tsalenjikh and Khashuri SSUs of JSC GE “Sakrusenergo”, the personnel of the transport service and special equipment were also mobilized for the production of works.
As a result of the performed works, the reliability of the so-called “Imereti” was significantly increased, which is very important for the sustainable functioning of the energy system in the coming winter conditions.
